It's been a hectic year as I continue to re-establish myself as an artist and tutor in this area, having lived on the Isle of Skye since 2004.
The first dates for my autumn winter programme were published 31st July, book soon if you want a place as I only take 10 people per workshop,
Work continues, steadily, on a series of paintings of waterfalls in Derbyshire, continuing the waterfall theme that began when I lived on Skye. I've also continued work on some looser flower paintings and even a watercolour portrait, simply for a change, before getting back to landscapes.
I have some smaller originals for sale at Skyeworks (Portree, Isle of Skye), and cards, prints and originals at SkyeMakers (Dunvegan, Isle of Skye), locally some originals and prints at Leabrooks Arts Complex and Cromford Gallery, both in Derbyshire.
Highlights of the year:
Selection of one of my larger works for the Harley Open. "Marsco framed" sold from the exhibition.
Exhibitions at Leabrooks Arts Complex and Cromford Gallery, both in Derbyshire.
Continued support and encouragement from fellow artists at Leabrooks Arts Forum and beyond.
Progress with the book.
Enquiries from Art Publications.
More enquiries from workshops and demonstrations further afield.
Highly Commended in the Artist Category of The Artist and Leisure Painter Open. Painting "Sparkling Waters of the Cuillin" (as seen on my stand at Patchings Festival) can be seen on Painters Online, and on my facebook page.
Orders/commissions need to be placed now (limited opportunities for you to get work painted and framed in time for Christmas). Lessons or gift vouchers for tuition and paintings are available.
